Alternative Energy
MWDT manufactures precision-engineered ceramic substrate tubes for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), electrolysis, and hydrogen generation — optimizing wall thickness, porosity, and material composition for higher electrochemical efficiency. As the exclusive representative for ATS, we make our own feedstocks for complete control over consistency.
Fuel Cell Substrate Tubes
Our substrate tubes use a carefully engineered Zirconia (ZrO₂) and Nickel Oxide (NiO) ceramic composite — milled and blended to exact porosity, pore-size distribution, and shrinkage behavior — supporting both ionic and protonic conduction.
- Composites: ZrO₂/NiO and BCZYYb/NiO in 65:35, 60:40, or customized ratios
- Sizes: diameters from 1/16" to 2", lengths from 1/2" to 12"; microtubes through 12"+ macro tubes
- Supplied binder-free and ready for electrolyte coating, or electrolyte-coated and fired
- Injection molding yields uniform, reproducible tubes (most features ±0.5%) with no end-to-end wall-thickness variation

Applications
Ionic and protonic fuel cell tubes and sleeves; electrolysis (hydrogen generation) tubes; porous hydrogen gas-filtration tubes; oxygen generator tubes; high-temperature reactors for nuclear applications; Ni-GDC electrodes; and CO₂-to-methane conversion.
