Pharmaceutical

MWDT manufactures the precision components that go into pharmaceutical processing, filling, and packaging equipment — combining stainless steel machining, ceramic injection molding, and compliant high-performance plastics with the materials-science expertise to keep you within strict regulatory requirements. Bring us the worn part or the problem, not just the drawing.

Dosing, Filling & Fluid-Path Components

Repeatable, low-volume dosing is where ceramics and precision stainless excel:

  • Ceramic dosing and metering pistons (alumina, zirconia) running in ceramic or 316L bores for wear resistance and repeatable fills
  • Sanitary 316L filling nozzles, valve bodies, and manifolds machined for crevice-free cleanability
  • Pump and valve seals and seats in PEEK, PTFE, and PFAS-free POK

Change Parts & Wear Components

The high-wear, frequently-swapped contact parts that move vials, bottles, syringes, and capsules through your line are a recurring, time-sensitive buy:

  • Star wheels, feed and timing screws, guide rails, and format/change parts
  • Bushings, wear pads, guide blocks, and sliding bearings
  • Capsule-filling change parts — dosators, tamping pins, and segment sets

Machined from UHMW, acetal (POM), HDPE, and PEEK in FDA, USDA, and 3A Dairy-compliant grades.

Contamination Control & Detectable Grades

Support your foreign-object-detection (FOD) and audit-readiness programs with triple-detectable materials — identifiable by visual, metal, and X-ray detection. Detectable grades are colored blue because there are virtually no naturally blue products, making a stray fragment easy to catch on line inspection.

PFAS-Free & Sterilizable Materials

As regulators move to restrict PFAS, MWDT offers FDA-approved, PFAS-free POK (with HBN lubricant) as a forward-looking alternative to PTFE seals in fluid-handling applications.

For sterilizable fixtures, jigs, and carriers, PEEK and technical ceramics withstand repeated steam, autoclave, and gamma sterilization while remaining biologically inert.

Note: FDA food-contact compliance (21 CFR 177) is distinct from USP Class VI / ISO 10993 biocompatibility — our material scientists help you specify the right grade for your contact class, sterilization method, and duty cycle.

A Materials & Reverse-Engineering Partner

Pharmaceutical lines run for decades, and OEM parts get discontinued. MWDT reverse-engineers worn or orphaned parts, recommends a better material for the duty cycle, and machines or molds the result — with QuickTurn lead times to get a down line running again fast.
